Ferdi Taljaard

Ferdi Taljaard has spent 34 years in the aviation business. He started his aviation consultation business after a distinguished 32-year military and commercial aviation career acquiring extensive knowledge and experience across all aspects and disciplines of Aviation.

He has led and managed all components of Aviation and have interacted with key Internal and External Authorities, Committees and Boards and have served the Highest Offices of Government for several years. He was part of a team that acquired and managed the interior outfitting of the Presidential Boeing 737 in 2001. This required close cooperation and liaising with the Presidency and Presidential support functions.

He performed strategic roles in Operations, Logistics, Import / Exports, Regulatory Compliance, Contract Management, Safety Management Systems, Programme / Project Management, Occupational Health and Safety, Finance and Budgets, Engineering Change Management, Maintenance Management and Risk Management.

Ferdi has comprehensive Programme and Project management knowledge and experience in all areas of the Project Life Cycle. He has managed and been accountable for large scale, key national projects and initiatives which have incorporated global participation and diverse stakeholders. He has spent 5 years in Europe in a multinational aviation environment in designing and developing System Engineering and Integrated Logistic Support functions for the Airbus A400M air system.
